Sometime in the 1880s, outside the dry, flat, dusty town of China, Texas, a gunslinger is spared execution in exchange for killing the lone, small ranch owner who will not sell his land to a railroad company. It should be a simple job, but the respect that two wizened gunmen share - and the young woman who comes between them - make a simple task complicated and violent.
