Bradley Cooper was left speechless after taking home the Best Actor award at the Elle Style Awards in London.

The actor struggled for words after being presented with the award by Harvey Weinstein and had to resort to reading the autocue.

The Elle Style Awards are known for their glamorous fashion stakes, with A-listers turning out in mainly British designer clothing on the red carpet.

Actress Kate Hudson said her choice this year was motivated by comfort.

'If I'm not comfortable I don't want to leave my house. You know, there's a lot of times you put on a beautiful dress and it's just not easy to wear and if it's not easy to wear it's not worth it.'

Stars at this year's awards included Elizabeth Olsen, Chloe Grace Moretz and Juno Temple who won the Rising Star Award at the BAFTA awards this week.

Christopher Kane won the British Designer of the Year, while Stella McCartney was honoured with the International Designer of the Year.
