Many of Australia's A-list film stars are in Sydney tonight to celebrate the 2nd annual AACTA Awards.

Nicole Kidman, Geoffrey Rush and Cate Blanchett and have all graced the Star Events Centre this evening, where Les Miserable star Russell Crowe is hosting the event.

Aussie film The Sapphires is a nomination favourite, with 12 nominations.
