The 'Bachelorette' has premiered in the US on Thursday, and on the red carpet, movie stars Kirsten Dunst and Isla Fisher strutted their stuff.

Dunst told Reuters that she was excited to break through to a role where she played a not so serious role.

"For me, I was ready for a comedy especially after something like 'Meloncholia,' said Dust.

"I always want to be in different kinds of films, instead of being shoeboxed into one way of people seeing me. For me, this movie was the greatest, refreshing thing to do after something like a heavy movie."

Described as the female version of 'the Hangover', three bridesmaids go looking for fun the night before an old friend's wedding.

Isla Fisher said that she was excited and a little scared to play a role so outside her comfort zone.

The film also stars Lizzy Caplan, James Marsden and Adam Scott.

"Bachelorette" hits movie screens in the U.S. on September 07.
